I just found out today that through the actions of faithful viewers, the power of the Internet and 25 TONS! of nuts that CBS has agreed to revive the television show Jericho; which they had yanked. This fall will see the airing of 7 new episodes and if the audience continues to grow additional seasons will be forth coming. All I can say; since this is one of my favorite shows is Yay to the power of nuts. [via Chris Pirillo]
Oh I bet the bastards over at MPAA and RIAA are just creaming in their Armani suits over a recent court decision that could force sites like TorrentSpy to begin tracking and logging their users activities on their website. These log files are then to be handed over to the law; or to litigant in court cases to be used against said users. TorrentSpy has stated that if any appeals against the court decision fail they would turn off access to the site from US surfers. [via News.com and Sunbelt Blog]
I know there are a lot of Web 2.0 sites out there that purports to expand your social circles, make you scheduling easier or even help you donate all your personal information to 3rd party corporation so that can make money by using said information to serve you up personalized advertising. On the whole these sites are easily forgettable or just plain fun to laugh at but sometimes one comes along that does nothing more than point out how lazy we have become. Along these lines come PayJr. who’s whole purpose it to help you keep track of the blackmai….. err allowance being demanded by our iPod cell phone carrying kids. This is one to add to the stupid idea pool if you ask me. [via TechCrunch]
