Meme Time: Blogs that make me think

Thinking bloggers Wow … this is something that I wasn’t expecting. To be tapped by a blog written by someone whose writing you like and respect as a fellow blogger who makes them think is a hellva way to start what looked to be another lousy rainy day. Apparently though Jason over at webomatica thinks that even in my sometimes contrarian fashion I write stuff that makes him go hmmmm.

Well I am honored as webomatica is one of my favorite blogs and I look forward to each feed refresh for anything he has written. So in keeping with meme tradition here are some blogs that make sitting with a coffee and reading worthwhile.

  • Deep Jive Interest - as with most of my favorite blogs I came across DJI via links in other blog posts but it now maintains a a place of its own in my feed reader. I like Tony’s writing because of it is always well thought out and he is not afraid to look at popular opinions from a contrary point of view. (RSS Feed)
  • Mathew Ingram - like Jason I always look forward to posts from Mathew. Besides the fact that he’s a fellow Canadian I look forward to his take on the matters of the day in our tech world. (RSS Feed)
  • Mini-Microsoft & MSFTextrememakeover - ya this is a cheat but both these blogs deal with the single matter of Microsoft as a company and if you are interested at all in technology and Microsoft then these two blogs are required reading. Both of them provide some interesting and valuable insights into the Redmond giant.(Mini RSS Feed) (MSFT RSS Feed)

The next two are not necessarily tech related but I find that sometimes those of us in the tech blogging world think that everything tech is only of importance - we neglect to see that society in general can have as equal an impact on technology and the next great Web 2.0 app. So I include these two blogs as two of the real world bloggers that help keep me grounded and thinking about things other than technology or on societal impacts on technology.

  • The Zero Boss - now fair warning here - if you have a hard time with blunt; or swearing, language then this blog isn’t for you. If you can deal with that then be ready for a dose of hard hitting in your face reactions to daily news from Jay. He doesn’t pull any punches - language or otherwise - but more often than not he will make you think. (RSS Feed)
  • TeresaCentric - is now actually written by a two writers - Teresa and her now significant other Andrew. this couple provide an interesting outlook on subjects of the day and sometimes from opposite sides of the fence. This can provide some interesting reading and sometime can also provide a look into couple dynamics as relating to issues. (RSS Feed)

That’s my lineup of blogs that make me think on a daily basis and once more thanks to Jason at webomatica for his kind words.

Sweet, and keep up the awesome work - today the B-list, tomorrow… who knows? And good job on some blogs that make you think as well, two of them I’m less familiar with so I’m gonna check ‘em out.
